1/2 cup chopped pecans
3 apples, peeled and sliced
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1/2 cup sugar
1(14 oz) can Magnolia Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup flour
1/2 stick of butter, melted
2 eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon baking powder
instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease an 8×8 baking dish.
- In a bowl combine the apples, cinnamon, cardamom, and sugar.
- Scatter the pecans on the bottom of prepared dish and top with the apple mixture. Move the apples around so that they make an even later.
- In a blender add the rest of the ingredients, sweetened condensed milk, flour, butter, baking powder and eggs. Blend until smooth.
- Pour batter over the apples and bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted In the middle comes out clean.
- Run a knife around the sides of the pan to loosen the cake. Place a serving plate upside down on top of the cake pan; turn plate and pan over. Let the cake cool for 20 minutes.
- Dust with powder sugar before serving.
